The Department of Mechanical Engineering has made a commitment to increasing the percentage of undergraduate women majoring in mechanical engineering. The 35-In-5 Initiative seeks to achieve 35 percent female enrollment by 2018. Support for this initiative will help provide new scholarship opportunities, increased career mentorship options and the development of a summer internship program partnering undergraduate women with ME faculty and graduate students. This effort is a collaboration with the Women in Engineering Program.
