History

The Mechanical Engineering Department has been one of the cornerstones of the University of Texas at Austin since the University was first chartered. We have been housed in a few different locations and supported facilities on both the main campus and at the Pickle Research Campus. Our Department has developed a body of tradition and proudly participated in a number of recurring projects that help define the University of Texas as one of the foremost institutions in the world.
