COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this course we will learn the basics of Discrete Event Simulation and develop a working knowledge of ARENA - a GUI-based simulation software package used by many manufacturing and semiconductor companies. We will work with lots of fun examples, including the simulation of the UT football ticket line.

COURSE STRUCTURE:
Each lecture will consist of two parts: presentation by the instructor followed by individual work using ARENA (supervised by the instructor). The time allocated for each part will depend on the topic covered. (Be prepared to spend at least 45min each time on the computer.)
