David T. Blackstock

Professor Emeritus Blackstock does research in physical acoustics, particularly nonlinear acoustics and biomedical ultrasound. He is a faculty member of the Acoustics program and the Thermal/Fluid Systems program of the Mechanical Engineering Department. He has a joint appointment with Applied Research Laboratories and has served on the College of Engineering faculty since 1970. Dr. Blackstock has published more than 100 technical articles and reports. He has authored one book and co-edited two others. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
