Faculty and Staff

The Mechanical Engineering web site has its own faculty and staff directory, which includes most of the information found in the main University of Texas at Austin directory, as well as a bio and photo of each person.

The Faculty Directory

In addition, the faculty directory is also the data required of the Faculty Annual Report and includes information on research, personal research web sites, honors, awards, news stories and administrative support. Faculty may also be searched by research specialty and title. Emeritus professors are included in the directory.

All news stories pertaining to a faculty member are listed at the bottom of the right column. Stories listed begin in 2008 and will remain archived on the server for several years.

The Staff Directory

The staff directory links administrative staff to the professors they support, if applicable. It includes all department staff members with a full to a 20-hour appointment as well as those with split appointments. Student employees, hourly, temps, graduate students and post-docs are not included. Researchers, who do not teach, are listed in the staff directory. Faculty members who also serve the department in a dual staff / faculty capacity, such as the Chair, are listed only in the faculty directory.
