Getting Started

Keys

You will need a key to use this type of podium. Keys for faculty members are given out at the ITG helpdesk in ECJ 2.514 (ph. 232-2486). Keys can be rented from our office on an hourly basis.

Starting the Console

1.) Unlock the front top drawer which contains the wired mouse and keyboard. Most consoles also contain a wireless keyboard/mouse combo and mouse which are located in the top right drawer.
 
   
2.) Activate the touch panel by touching it, and then enter the access password (come by our office if you need it).
 

   
3.) Press the "On" button to turn on the projector.
   
   
Choosing a Media Source:  

The console will default to using the console PC as the media source when first turned on. If the PC is what you wanted to use, then you are ready to go. If you need to use a different media source, read on.
 

Document Camera:

 


Press the "Display the DOC CAM" button to open the Doc Cam menu and display the document camera on the projector.

   
Press the "Turn On" Button to turn on the document camera.
   
Press the "Select Base Lamps" button if you are showing transparencies.

Press the "Select Outer Lamps" button for showing anything else.

   
Put your document on the document camera!

Use the focus and brightness buttons on the document camera to adjust it.

   
   
VCR:

 



Open the front door of the console to access the VCR. Insert your VHS tape.

   

Press the "Select the VCR" button to open the VCR menu and display the VCR on the projector.

   
Press the button for the operation you would like!
   
   
Laptops; Auxiliary Inputs; Adjusting Volume:


Press the button of the option you would like and follow the onscreen instructions.

Laptops: Connect the video cable, turn on the projector, and press the "Select your Laptop" button BEFORE turning on the laptop.

Auxiliary Inputs: These are usually located on the left side or the top of the console. If you need cables, come see us.
