Account Services
Create a METER Account
All users of University computing services must have a UT EID.
Students majoring in Mechanical Engineering or currently enrolled in an ME course must get a Windows Account to use the METER computers, as well as for ME 333T, ME 218, ME 103,
ME 210, ME 302, and ME 205.
Faculty and Staff may also get an Engineering Account to use the METER lab computers.
When creating an account, users must adhere to our Password Policy and create a secure password.
If you lose/forget your password, you must bring your student ID and have it reset in person in the System Administrator's office,
ETC 3.130.
An account is locked for security reasons if there are too many incorrect password login attempts. If your account has been locked try resetting the password online. If you want you can reset it to your original password. If that fails speak to a System
Administrator in 3.130. Remember to bring your student ID.
To change your password, log into a METER computer, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL, and then choose the 'Change Password' option.
We recommend that you change your password immediately after you log on for the first time. Your password must adhere to our Password Policy.
Administrative Faculty and Staff who need help with Mainframe Accounts should contact Kathryn Samec.
