Printing in the METER Labs
Students are now allowed a quota of 1000 credits per long semester and 500 credits for the summer semester. Print quotas are reset one week after the last day of finals and credits do not carry forward to the next semester. J and K groups are given an extra pool of print credits to share among their group.
Printing on the Black & White printers costs 1 credit per page. The color printers cost 5 credits per page, and the color plotter is 50 credits. Please note that our print quota program does not subtract from your print quota by the number of sheets of paper you print, rather the number of pages as dictated by the print screen. For example, when printing slides out of PowerPoint, each slide is considered a credit, even if you print 6 slides on only one sheet of paper. We can credit the difference to your account if you show us the proof of prints. Please see a lab TA for more details.
Duplex Printing is also available in the METER Lab.
HPC Print Quotas
The print quota charges are identical in the HPC , but are independent. Students in the HPC may check their print quotas with the
command:

Printing from I-DEAS 10
- Open I-DEAS OpenGL
- Make sure your file is saved
- Go to Option > Preferences > Icon Panel >
- Uncheck the Windows Print box
- Then go to File > Close (when it asks you to Save, say Yes)
- Open I-DEAS OpenGL
- Go to Option > Preferences > Icon Panel >
- Check the Windows Print box
- Then then go to File > Close (when it asks you to Save, say Yes again)
- Open I-DEAS OpenGL
- You can now print your file
