ME Major Sequence
Major Sequence Courses are typically taken after the third semester of the program. In order to take these courses,
you must apply for and be accepted into major sequence.
Since you cannot take major sequence courses until you have been accepted into major sequence, you should apply for
admission to Major Sequence during the semester in which you will complete all of your Basic Sequence courses or when
you will have 7 hours or fewer remaining in Basic Sequence. Applications are submitted to the
Student Affairs Office
(ECJ 2.200) for review and approval.
Students approved for admission to major sequence are eligible to self-advise during registration advising periods.
The deadlines for application to major sequence:
March 1 (for Summer & Fall pre-registration)
October 1 (for Spring pre-registration)
Criteria for admission:
- Must not be on Scholastic Probation (University) or Academic Probation (College)
- Satisfactory completion of all basic sequence courses in ME (can have as much as 7 hours remaining to be admitted conditionally)
- A grade point average of at least 2.50
- A grade of at least "C" in each basic sequence course
