Vishv Jeet , Ph.D. in progress 2 years into the program, passed the qualifier, passed his proposal defense in February. Presented at IERC (IE research conference, refereed proceedings) and INFORMS, and submitted a paper to INFORMS Journal on Computing. He is working on another paper which will go to Naval Research Logistics by the end of March. He is the first prize recipient of the Supply Chain Dissertation Proposal Competition organized by the University of Florida Supply Chain Center. He should graduate by May 2006. website resume

Mehmet F. Candas, M.S./Ph.D. in progress 2 years into the program, passed the qualifier, should present his proposal by the end of the semester. Presented at INFORMS and IERC, and submitted a paper to Management Science last December. Should graduate by August 2006.
