Carla Maria Costa is a Professor of Chemistry at the Civil Engineering Department, Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa, Portugal. She has also been a researcher at Centre for Biological and Chemical Engineering, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal, since 1999. Her current research interests are (1) chemistry and catalytic activity of nanoporous materials and (2) cement based materials. Carla holds a PhD from Instituto Superior Técnico, where her thesis wason the quantitative correlation between acidity and catalytic activity over Y zeolites. Carla is currently a visiting scholar at the Materials Science and Engineering Program, Email:University of Texas at Austin, US where she is working on a project entitled ‘Cement based nanocomposites reinforced with nanoparticles’. |
