| Welcome to the Multiscale Thermal Fluids Laboratory (MTFL) under the direction of Dr. Carlos Hidrovo in the Mechanical Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Austin. At the MTFL we focus on thermal fluid problems ranging from the nanoscale to the macroscale over a wide range of applications. The overarching theme of our group is to bridge the different lengthscales, integrating nano/microscale fluidic and transport understanding and solutions into macroscale phenomena and applications. We conduct research in areas such as microfluidics, fuel cells, microelectronics cooling, drag reduction and novel optical diagnostics. |
