Austin Chapter of INFORMS General Meeting and Election Banquet

General Information

The Austin Chapter of INFORMS announces its August General Meeting and second annual Elections Banquet to be held on Tuesday, August 27th. Members, Inquirers, and Guests are all cordially invited to come. This event gives us a chance to network with each other and to set the direction for the chapter in the coming year.

Place

The Olive Garden Restaurant, 8833 Burnet Road. Please note that in previous years we met at the other Olive Garden location. This one is in North Austin , just south of 183.

Program of Events

7:00	Members and guests arrive
7:15	Dinner is served
8:30	Current chapter officers review the past year of activities and explain the opportunities and obligations for those who seek to hold office in the coming year
8:45	Nominations and elections; general meeting

Primo Menu

All Entrees Include :
    Freshly baked breadsticks
    Your choice of soup or garden salad
    Soft drink, milk, coffee, tea (complimentary refills)
    Vanilla ice cream

Please choose one of the following entrees :
1.    Spaghetti & Meatballs. Traditional meat sauce over spaghetti with meatballs.
2.    Lasagna Classico. Layers of pasta, meat sauce, and ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan and romano cheeses.
3.    Eggplant Parmigiana. Lightly breaded eggplant, fried and topped with marinara, mozzarella and parmesan.
4.    Fettuccine Alfredo. Parmesan cream sauce with a hint of garlic, served over fettuccine.
5.    Ravioli di Portobello. Portobello mushroom-filled ravioli baked in a creamy smoked cheese and sundried tomato sauce.

Price : $10 per person . Members and guests are welcome.

Additional items, such as wine, beer, and appetizers, may be ordered at the bar at your own additional expense.

Reservations

Since we must give the restaurant a headcount in advance to secure the room and the special pricing, we ask that you RSVP with your menu choices by Friday, August 23rd. We will not collect payment until the night of the event. Please respond to Tim Smith at SageTexan@prodigy.net .

Austin INFORMS members include any local OR professionals or academics who intend to participate in future chapter activities, whether or not they have previously been active in this chapter. There are presently no dues required of members. Guests will not vote in the elections.
