To create a general model, select the General option from the
Markov Model menu. The dialog below is presented. On the dialog,
choose either Markov Chain or Markov Process model. Specify the
numbers of state and event variables together with the default
minimums and maximums. The Transition Block entry determines
the number of transition blocks placed on the worksheet.
The worksheet created has the state and event
arrays created with the proper dimensions. The student must
add data and formulas to model his or her problem. Review the
discussion concerning predefined models for instructions on
model creation.
