Mark Hamalian, Karey Maynor with associate professor Vaibhav Bahadur receive Outstanding Paper Award.
Mechanical Engineering graduate students Mark Hamalian and Karey Maynor received the Outstanding Paper Award at the 2025 ASME Energy Sustainability Conference last month. This conference is sponsored by ASME's Advanced Energy Systems and Solar Energy Divisions.
The paper entitled 'Effects Of Bubble Size and Density on CO2 Hydrate Slurry Production for Carbon Sequestration' was written with Vaibhav Bahadur, associate professor in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Bahadur and his group conduct fundamental and applied research in the areas of thermal-fluids sciences, materials chemistry, machine learning and micro-nanofabrication with applications in energy-water systems, carbon capture and sequestration, hydrogen and thermal management.
