Maryam Tilton, assistant professor in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering, has received a Research Career Award grant from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute on Aging.
Tilton has been awarded over $700,000 for her 5-year project: Impact of Local vs. Systemic Senescent Bone Cell Accumulation on Healthy Osteocyte Mechanosensation.
Tilton works in the areas of biomedicine and advanced design and manufacturing. She joined the department in 2023.
