During the semester in which you plan to graduate, ALL master's degree candidates must submit the following:

  1. Register for the appropriate course in your last semester.

  2.  Submit a completed Program of Work form that has been approved by your supervising professor or area coordinator. Graduation Application will not be approved online until the Program of Work has been reviewed and approved by the ME/OR Graduate Office. There is no need to get the Graduate Adviser's signature before turning it in. Your form will be signed by the Graduate Adviser after the ME/OR Graduate Office reviews it.

  3. Submit the Master's Graduation Application electronically before the semester deadline.
  4. Thesis/report options ONLY - Students must upload the thesis or report before submitting the required pages detailed below. The Graduate School will not accept a paper copy of the thesis or report. There will be a final format check when the required pages (see below) are submitted.

    It is critical that your submission be complete and correct.

    After submission, no revisions or corrections will be allowed except for those required by the graduate dean.

    The upload and required pages are due by 3 p.m. CDT on the deadline.

  5. Thesis/Report Option students are also required to submit a copy of the following pages to the Graduate School at This email address is being protected from spambots. Graduate Student Chirag Gokhani

Chirag Gokani, Ph.D. student in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, has been awarded the Frederick V. Hunt Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Acoustics from The Acoustical Society of America.

John Goodenough: 1922-2023

John B. Goodenough, who received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2019 for his contributions to the development of the lithium-ion battery, passed away in June 2023.
